today was probably one of the more enjoyable fourth of julys i have had in the recent years.
made some chocolate chip waffles this morning which were delicious. shared with my mom and her masseuse who was at our house at the time. and later shared some of my art.
in the later afternoon some family friends came over who my parents intended to spend the evening with as well as a spur of the moment visit from my cousins.

josh met me at my house and we headed out to porter ranch for fireworks. we got there three hours early to try and find parking. he got a nice tour of porter ranch as we tried to find parking and then i showed off my awesome parallel parking skills fitting into a spot where i pretty much boxed myself in. we had a nice walk to where people were gathering and found a spot to sit where we played a few games of spit and were shortly moved because we were in the "fall zone". while relocated we decided to get some ice cream which was pretty amazing and then found a new spot where we continued to play cards and talk and eventually watch the anticipated fireworks.
