anthony and i drove out to griffith park to find the old site of the la zoo. unsure where we were going once we passed the real zoo, i just kept driving and following signs. i parked and we started walking, walking some more. we scavenged around the area exploring when we accidentally found it. we led ourselves on a hike through the old grounds which then turned into just a hike through the nature. we had no idea where we were going or how far anything went, just kept walking. our journey led us right in front of my car rather than the start of our journey which was a small hike up from my car. it was a pretty awesome feeling to be so unsure where we were or if we were going the right way and then see my car shining blue as we made our way down a side trail.
some pictures from our adventure.
my favorite part of this picture is the rainbow lens flares.
im inside a dungeon but anthony couldnt figure out how to focus past the fence!
there was a log with a peace sign.
we saw a woodpecker and tried to capture it with my creeper lens. i think anthony took this one.
we made our way back to the valley and then shortly after i went to pick up jenn. we were going to go to lake balboa, just before we got there i realized they close at dusk and it was dusk, we drove up as everyone was leaving and the gate was being locked. we didnt know what else to do. we were sort of by my house so we thought about going over there, the only problem was my family hadnt left for the dinner i had been uninvited to. we drove to a little neighborhood around the corner from my house and chilled in my car until they were gone. i drove back home and we hung out at my house. jenn had fun with my dog and i took close to a hundred pictures of them. they came out pretty cute. then i went to put them on my computer and i accidentally deleted them all. i am pretty bummed. oh well, i guess the important part is we had the experience that was deleted in the pictures and i enjoyed spending time with her again. :)
